Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Katra / Jammu – Katra (50 km / 1.5 hrs)

On arrival at Jammu Railway Station, Airport, or Katra Railway Station, meet our representative and transfer to Katra, the gateway to the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Reasi district, Jammu & Kashmir.
Check-in at your hotel and spend the evening at leisure. You may explore the local markets or enjoy panoramic views of Katra. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Katra – Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan

Start early for the sacred trek to Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, located 14 km from Katra on the Trikuta Hills. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Vaishnavi, an incarnation of Goddess Durga, and is one of India’s holiest shrines.
Trekking takes approximately 4–5 hours each way. Ensure you have your Yatra Parchi or token before starting. Post darshan, visit the Bhairav Baba Temple, accessible via cable car, as it is considered incomplete without this visit. Return to Katra for overnight stay.

Day 03: Katra – Pahalgam (7–8 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Pahalgam. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Evening free to explore the local sights, riverside views, and local markets. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Pahalgam Full-Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the scenic beauty of Pahalgam and its surrounding valleys:

  • Aru Valley: A picturesque village 12 km from Pahalgam, ideal for trekking, camping, and nature walks. Accessible via a scenic drive or mountain path.

  • Betaab Valley: Named after the Bollywood movie Betaab, this valley is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, clear streams, and lush greenery. A short walk from Pahalgam, it is perfect for nature lovers.

  • Chandanwari: Starting point for the Amarnath Yatra, reachable by taxi. Pilgrims continue on foot or pony to the cave, taking 2 days round trip.

Enjoy pony rides to explore these valleys or walk to soak in the natural beauty. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 05: Pahalgam – Srinagar (Approx. 3 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and drive to Srinagar. Spend the afternoon at leisure or enjoy half-day sightseeing in the city. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06: Srinagar Sightseeing

  • Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure): Largest Mughal garden on Dal Lake banks, featuring seven terraces and central water channels.

  • Shalimar Bagh: Built by Emperor Jehangir for Empress Noor Jahan, this garden has stone pavilions, flowing water, and vibrant flower beds.

  • Chashme Shahi & Pari Mahal: Elegant gardens showcasing Mughal architecture.

  • Shankaracharya Temple: Offers panoramic views of Srinagar city and Dal Lake.

Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07: Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar (76 km one way)

After breakfast, drive to Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold), situated at 2,690 meters altitude.
Optional pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains year-round. Return to Srinagar in the evening, check in at the hotel, and overnight stay.

Day 08: Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar (52 km / 1.5 hrs one way)

After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers, at an altitude of 8,700 ft. Gulmarg is a popular ski resort and home to the world’s highest 18-hole golf course.
Optional activities:

  • Pony rides

  • Cable car ride to Kongdori (12,293 ft) and Affarwat Peak (13,780 ft)

In the evening, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, explore local craft markets, and witness the aquatic life of Srinagar. Overnight stay at hotel.
